3. Trade in Prediction Markets
3.1 Choose a Market
3.2 Market Details
On the Market page, you’ll see:
- Orderbook: in the orderbook, you’ll see orders that haven’t been filled yet. The red numbers represent asks, and the green numbers represent bids.
- What the outcome is: the predicted result for that specific market.
- Probability (%): indicates the likelihood of an outcome based on current user predictions.
- Price: the cost to buy a share of a specific outcome. When the final outcome is revealed, the correct result is worth $1 per share, and the incorrect result is worth $0.
- How to buy/sell shares:
Yes share price = the probability that the event will happen (e.g., $0.70 = 70%)
No share price = 1 — Yes share price (e.g., $0.30 = 30%)
- Why don’t these add up to 100%? Small fluctuations can occur due to market uncertainty and other pricing factors.
Quick tip: You don’t have to wait for the event to resolve. You can trade any time during the event and make a profit. When events fluctuate over time, remember to buy low and sell high for profit!
3.3 Profit Calculation
Profit Formula:
Profit = (1 $USD — Purchase Price) × Number of Shares
Scenario A: if you want to make profits by predicting events that WILL happen:
Strategy 1: Buy and hold until resolution
Example: Buy 100 “Yes” shares at $0.30 (market believes 30% chance). If the event occurs:
Profit = ($1 — $0.30) × 100 = $70 (233% return)
Strategy 2: Trade probability surges
Example: Buy 100 “Yes” shares at $0.20 when negative pricing factors emerge. Sell at $0.65 when positive pricing factors appear:
Profit = ($0.65 — $0.20) × 100 = $45 (225% return)
Loss Risk: If the event DOES NOT occur, your “Yes” shares become $0.
Scenario B : if you want to make profits by predicting events that WON’T happen:
Strategy 1: Buy and hold until resolution
Example: Buy 100 “No” shares at $0.40 (market believes 40% chance event won’t happen). If the event doesn’t occur:
Profit = ($1 — $0.40) × 100 = $60 (150% return)
Strategy 2: Trade probability shifts
Example: Buy 100 “No” shares when the market assigns a 30% probability ($0.30) to the event not happening. Sell when the market updates to 70% probability ($0.70):
Profit = ($0.70 — $0.30) × 100 = $40 (133% return)
Loss Risk: If the event DOES occur (contrary to your prediction), your “No” shares become $0.
3.4 Real-Time Data
- Market Panel: Shows current prices, total liquidity, and a historical price chart.
- Personal Portfolio: Under “Portfolio,” track your open positions and see potential profits or losses.
4. Points & Rewards
Points System
The O.LAB points system serves as an important credential of user participation, designed to track users’ social interactions, transactions, and contributions to community development. Users can earn points by taking part in social tasks and engaging in trades.
How to Earn Points
4.1 Social Tasks
On the homepage, click “Tasks” to open the task system.
You can complete various tasks to earn points:
- Daily check-in
- Make one trade per day
- Follow on X
- Join Discord
- Invite friends
- Connect your wallet
- Retweet posts on X
- Subscribe to the Telegram channel

Tip: Most of the tasks in the system can only be completed once, meaning you can’t earn rewards repeatedly for the same task. However, daily check-ins and daily trading tasks are exceptions and refresh daily — new points every day.
Moreover, inviting friends brings a bigger reward:
